Thank you for performing in The Bijou Show(s) – Adult Variety Show. This is an adult variety show featuring experienced performers. We welcome all acts (belly dance, burlesque, drag, circus, magician, comedian, musician & anything else you want to propose (fire, aerial & pole only if venue allows)). All performances must be respectful to people of all races, sizes, ages, identity, gender, class and ability.

General Info:
1. You must be 18+ years old to perform in the show.
2. NO fire (unless venue allows, performer is insured & provides their own safety person), wax, fireworks, real weapons, glass, liquid/gel (that could damage the floor), fog machines, live animals, anything clamped to a pole.
3. Please make sure your music does not have the “n” word in it or any other racially offensive language.
4. Do not perform in “black face” or any other racially offensive act.
5. Do not perform visibly intoxicated. This also applies to the Door Person, Kitten & DJ.
6. Burlesque/Belly Dancers/Drag Performers – please keep your routines under 6 minutes. Other performers (ie: Magicians, Comedians, Bands) - routines must be under 15 minutes.
7. Some venues do not have a raised stage, we do recommend minimizing the amount of floor work in your performance because the audience can't see you well. Please verify with me if the venue has a raised stage. *Nanola South (formerly Parish Public House) has an 11 in. raised stage & Bootlegger’s has a raised stage. I will send pictures of the stage area in your confirmation email.
8. Depending on the venue, there will be a “dressing room” area for the performers, usually a curtained area that we all have to share and store our belongings. Please arrive with make-up already done. We are not allowed to monopolize the venue’s public bathrooms to get ready. We must be covered, meaning no exposed breasts, butts, genitals, when leaving the performance space/area.
9. All performers, host & stage kitten will get a share of the ticket sales, tips and raffle money.
10. All guests of the performer’s, including “helpers”, must purchase a ticket for the show, if they plan on watching the show.
Please commit to the following:
1. All performers - call time is 1 hour before show time. Performers must arrive 1 hour before show time or let me know in advance if you know you cannot arrive by the scheduled "call time". Most shows start promptly at 8 or 9pm but vary depending on the venue. Nanola South & Bootlegger’s shows start at 9pm, therefore call time is 8pm.
2. To be on time, professional, well-prepared for the event and respectful towards all performers. Do not arrive to the show intoxicated or perform intoxicated.
3. Please provide a 1-2 sentence promo/bio/tagline & 1 photo for social media promos as soon as you’re booked for the show(s). If you cannot provide a photo that is okay, just let me know.
4. To routinely check “The Bijou Performer Group” Facebook page for announcements.
5. All music & kitten/tech info must be emailed to Cherish at [email protected] at least 7 days before the show. Only MP3 format (preferred) and YouTube links will be accepted.
6. All belly dancers and burlesque performers should conceal their costumes with a robe or cover up when not performing. We must be covered, meaning no exposed breasts, butts, genitals, when leaving the “performance area” even to go into the dressing room.
7. Please check-in with the “Kitten” when you arrive to go over your stage requirements (ie: what you need picked up, props, etc).
8. Burlesque & any performers doing a “reveal” - Please make sure to wear something on the bottom (ie: panties, thong, g-string, or merkin (do not go down to just a sticker or flower over your pubis/genitals). **All performers doing a “reveal” must have their nipples covered with either pasties, stickers, tape, etc…NO performer is allowed to reveal their genitals. If you have any wardrobe questions, please contact me.
9. If you are unable to perform in the show (after you've been confirmed), please notify me ASAP so that I can try and get a replacement.
10. Please take an active part in getting people to the show. The amount of money we all make depends on the size of the audience. Please “share” & “like” each other’s performer promos on your social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc..).

Spots are limited in an attempt to keep the show within a certain time frame. Fire performers must have a safety person, fire insurance and provide a copy the night of the show.
